Asian side or European side
In a city spread across two continents, the first question about school is often geographic rather than academic: how long your child will spend in morning traffic matters as much as the curriculum itself. That is why our four campuses sit on both sides of the Bosphorus.
On the Asian side, our Ataşehir campus is easily reached by school bus from Kadıköy, Üsküdar, Maltepe and Ümraniye. On the European side we have three campuses: Bahçelievler is close to the city centre, while Bahçeşehir and Beylikdüzü serve the residential districts along the western corridor.
The side of the city makes no difference to the education. All four campuses share the same curriculum, Cambridge International School status and the same standard of teaching, so you can choose on the basis of travel time, campus facilities and your child’s year group. What to look for in an international school in Istanbul
Choosing a school in Istanbul is about more than distance. Most families start with the campuses closest to home or work, then look at whether every school level continues on the same campus, at class sizes and at the number of foreign language hours. Moving from kindergarten to high school under one roof means friendships and academic follow-up are never interrupted.
The second question is the academic programme. If an international diploma is the goal, what matters is that the school is an authorised IB World School, that Cambridge examinations can be taken on campus, and that preparation for the national LGS and YKS exams is built into the timetable. Cambridge examinations and LGS and YKS preparation run together at all four of our Istanbul campuses; IB programmes run at Bahçelievler (PYP and DP), Ataşehir and Bahçeşehir (PYP). Otherwise, the difference lies in capacity and facilities.
The third is campus life. Laboratories, sports areas, clubs and counselling support shape the eight hours a child spends at school each day. The surest way to judge them is to visit during lesson hours, meet the teachers and see the classrooms at work.

Choosing an international school in Istanbul
We have four campuses in Istanbul: Ataşehir, Bahçelievler, Bahçeşehir and Beylikdüzü. All four follow the same curriculum to the same international standard, with IB programmes at Ataşehir, Bahçelievler and Bahçeşehir; they differ in capacity, school levels and facilities.

All four campuses offer Cambridge education; the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) runs at Ataşehir, Bahçelievler and Bahçeşehir, and the IB Diploma Programme (DP) at Bahçelievler. Dual foreign language education starts in kindergarten, and preparation for the national LGS and YKS exams is part of the academic programme at secondary level.

Yes. Students from 47 nationalities study with us. English is a language of instruction from kindergarten onwards, and we provide Turkish language support for students joining from abroad so they can follow the academic programme while they learn.
Yes. Our Istanbul campuses hold Cambridge International School status, with Cambridge examinations taken on campus. On the IB side, the Diploma Programme runs at Bahçelievler and the Primary Years Programme (PYP) at Ataşehir, Bahçelievler and Bahçeşehir.
