Activities to Do With Children in Üsküdar

Üsküdar is an important district that draws many visitors each year with its historic character and its central location on the Anatolian side. The Maiden's Tower, one of İstanbul's symbols, is also here. In this district where history meets the sea, we have gathered four activities you can do with children.

Küçük Çamlıca Grove

The grove, whose history reaches back to the reign of Mahmud II, was opened to the public in 1940 and took its present form with the works of 1980. Home to the Cihannüma, Sofa and Topkapı pavilions and to the Çamlıca Tower, the grove lets you picnic, walk and do sport amid the clean air of many trees such as pine, linden, redbud and cedar, and then set out on a historic tour. There is also a social facility for resting.

Çamlıca Hill

Also known as Âşıklar Hill, Çamlıca Hill has inspired many poets throughout history with its 360-degree view of İstanbul. Among the trees you can spend time facing the view and taste Ottoman mastic candy; while your children play in the park area, you can gaze out over İstanbul.

Emaar Aquarium

Home to more than 20,000 creatures from 200 species, the Emaar Aquarium offers an enjoyable experience for every age group with its themes of rocky shores, penguin island, crocodile kingdom and interactive play. For those who wish, there is even the chance to swim with sharks.

KidZania

KidZania at the Akasya shopping mall is an interactive play area offering 67 different activities for the 0 to 14 age range. Here children experience more than 120 professions hands-on, from pilot to doctor, from archaeologist to chef; developing their motor, social and physical skills, they build their own "children's world".
