Choosing a book for a child is harder than it seems: finding books that suit their age, positively influence their psychology and help them grow can be challenging for parents. This list of ten books, prepared by Pedagoji Derneği together with teachers, writers and pedagogy specialists, answers exactly this need. We have also added the recommended age range for each book.

For Younger Ages (Ages 4-6)

Harold ve Mor Tebeşir (Crockett Johnson) speaks to a sense of wonder with the imaginative adventure of Harold, for whom everything he draws with his magic crayon comes true. Değirmenler Vadisi (Noelia Blanco), by telling of people who forget how to dream under the dominion of machines, prompts children to reflect on imagination. Nokta (Peter H. Martı (Richard Bach), with the story of a seagull named Jonathan who wishes to go beyond his limits, teaches children to be different, to take chances and to chase their dreams.
