Three Magazines School-Age Children Can Follow

Children are endlessly curious about the world, natural events, space and animals, and they question everything. One of the most enjoyable ways to satisfy this curiosity is magazines. With their rich content and colourful visuals, children's magazines broaden horizons, feed the imagination and present knowledge in a language children can understand. We have gathered three safe and educational magazines for school-age children.

1. Bilim Çocuk

Published by TÜBİTAK on the 15th of every month since 1998, Bilim Çocuk brings children together with science. Aiming to nurture research and inquiry and to develop thinking skills, the magazine includes many activities and informative game cards. Suitable for ages 7 and up; with its "From Our Readers" section, it is also interactive with children.

2. National Geographic Kids

Published in Türkiye since 2004, National Geographic Kids is full of photographs, activities and instructive information. Alongside the world, space, planets, animals and natural events, it sometimes features technology, science and sports content too. With its award-winning puzzles, it develops research skills.

3. Mavi Kırlangıç

Published by Yeşilay since 1968, Mavi Kırlangıç is highly educational for children aged 6 to 10. Prepared with the support of experts and pedagogues, the magazine offers stories and activities as well as content on cinema, theatre, art and staying away from harmful habits. It is a homegrown magazine that values national culture.
