The Little Houses in My Body
11 November 2025 · Bursa Ozluce Campus · Ages 3–11
The Little Houses in My Body was a science- and art-based workshop that explored the human body as a living space. Representing cells, organs and body systems with colours, shapes and different materials, the children designed their own body maps.
It is hard to see inside our bodies, but imagining the body as a town or a cluster of houses gives a child an approach they can understand. A child who draws and shapes an organ while talking about what it does grasps biology without rote learning. At the same time, they develop curiosity about, and care for, their own body.
We held the workshop on 11, 12 and 13 November 2025, during the mid-term break, at our Bursa Özlüce Campus. There were sessions at 10:00 and 11:00 for the 7–11 age group and at 13:00 and 14:00 for the 3–6 age group; each session lasted one hour and participation was free.
