Gökkuşağı Studio STEAM and Scratch Experience

11 November 2025 · Bahcesehir Campus · Ages 7–11

At the Gökkuşağı Studio STEAM and Scratch Experience, children designed their own games with Scratch, a block-based programming tool. Choosing their characters, drawing their scenes and running their games with the movements they had coded, they experienced from start to finish how a product goes from an idea to the screen.

The STEAM approach brings science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics together in a single project. Building a game in Scratch takes both logical reasoning and design thinking: while working out when a character should jump, the child also decides what the scene should look like. In this way, coding becomes a tool for creativity.

We held the workshop on 11 and 12 November 2025, during the mid-term break, at our Istanbul Bahçeşehir Campus, as two sessions from 13:00 to 14:00 for the 7–11 age group. Participation was free.
